I love a good laugh; there’s nothing like a deep, pain-in-the-gut laugh that takes your breath away. Sometimes life is hard and news is sad so having fun and a sense of humour is important. My motto about life has always been, “If I can’t smile during the day I might as well stay in bed”. Well, the only thing that has ever kept me in bed was a really nasty illness.
My career path has taken me down many roads. I’ve learned much over the years and there has never been a job I didn’t like. Along the way, I’ve met some pretty fabulous people too.
There is just so much to learn and so little time! It’s all about the learning:
- the WWW and its infinite knowledge
- dabbling in web design
- excited by social media (ask me how it changed a part of my life)
- desktop publishing
- drawing and painting
- human and animal welfare
- natural and medical science and our environment
- frugal living
and the list goes on.
Having a varied background, likes and experiences makes life that much more interesting. It’s never boring.
I seek to help others in some way, use the skills that I have developed, explore and expand my interests and skills through lifelong learning, and to feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.
If you want to know more you have to ask me 🙂 Connect with me on social media or let’s have coffee!
Yup, that’s me a long time ago. I’ve never been one to turn down a learning opportunity and I love an adventure (some taking me to remote parts of northern Alberta)!
Working the derrick at the Alberta Petroleum Industry Training Centre, Edmonton, AB. Determined? Driller asks me with lots of doubt on his face, “You gonna go out there on the rig and work with the guys?” I answered, “You bet!” He shakes his head and chuckles…
I finished with 2nd highest mark out of a class of 12 burly males! I was also offered a job to teach first aid at the centre.
Go with your heart! Don’t ever let someone tell you that you can’t do it. You can, and you will. Life is an adventure and you are the captain…
“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.” – Albert Einstein
